About Us

With immense gratitude and excitement, I stand before you today as the President of the Zonta Club of Kowloon for the biennium 2024-2026. Thank you for entrusting me with this honor.

Before we embark on our journey together, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing President, Ms. Ada Fung, her entire board, and all committees. Under her leadership, our club achieved remarkable milestones. We successfully recruited 7 new members during the past biennium, a record high for our club. Additionally, our advocacy project extended beyond Hong Kong to collaborate with HK federation of women centre to organise a parallel event during NGOCSW 67 at the United Nations, and we proudly established our 4th Golden Z Club in partnership with Hong Kong Chu Hai College....more.

As we look ahead, I envision a Zonta Club that continues to be a beacon of hope and positive change. Our mission remains unwavering: to empower women and girls, advocate for gender equality, and create lasting impact in our community. Together, we will:

1. Expand Our Reach: Actively engage with more women, reaching out to those who need our support. Let us extend our network and amplify our collective voice.

2. Educate and Advocate: Knowledge is power. We will organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns in collaboration with our partners, schools, and NGOs to educate our community about women’s rights, health, and safety. Let us be fierce advocates for change.

3. Collaborate Widely: Partnerships are essential. We will work closely with local organizations, schools, and businesses NGO to create meaningful programs. Let us build bridges and break down barriers.

4. Inherit : It is our responsibility to pass down our torch to new members. Let us ensure that the flame of Zonta’s mission burns brightly for generations to come .

In the words of Maya Angelou, “Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women.” Let us embody that spirit—bold, compassionate, and unyielding. Our impact extends beyond our club; it reverberates through generations.
