1AM - First Action Moment: Self-help & Help Seeking App

In March 2016, Zonta Club of Kowloon launched the "1AM App" in collaboration with the Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women ("ACSVAW).

This is the first Chinese-speaking app worldwide for the prevention of violence and abuse among women and girls providing access to sexual violence resources and vital survival information that allows victims to immediately alert their preset group of trusted friends, family, or emergency services about potentially violent situation. This smartphone app is designed to be a potentially lifesaving alert system and uses technology to empower women and girls to take an active role in the prevention of sexual violence.

The project has received the D.R.E.A.M.S. Achievement Award - Meritorious Newly Conceptualized Advocacy Project at the Zonta International 19th District 17 Conference held in Manila in September 2017.
